20 Questions

Ok so this 20 questions thing is getting really popular and I guess its a good way for you guys to get to know me. Go ahead and use this as an invitation to ask me anything you want to know about me or my youtube channel or just whatever. So here it goes!

1.What is your favorite TV show? -My favorite TV show right now is Glee! I decided to see what all the hype was about and fell in love! I loved my school's showchoir Esprit so this was awesome!

2.Whats your favorite color? -I love green! Almost any shade of green is awesome...im not a huge fan of that brownish yellowy green...you know the one! That icky baby poo green lol. My favorite shade of green is probably a grassy green.

3.Do you have any tattoos? -Yes. I have two. I have a Celtic cross on my lower back with a little green clover in the middle. I have a purple Celtic moon and pentacle on my right shoulder that I designed myself. My tattoo artist perfected it and straightened my lines but the design is my own.

4.Do you have any pets? -I have a chihuahua named Harley Taco. He looks a lot like the Taco Bell dog. I dont have children so he is my baby. I spoil him and he gets a large chunk of my attention. I hate that I cant take him shopping with me or out to eat with me because he hates being left at home.

5.What is your favorite makeup product? -Yikes I have 2. First of all I love my TooFaced Shadow Insurance. I love it end of story lol. I also love Maybelline's The Falsies mascara. Its my favorite mascara of all time.

6. What is your favorite flower? -My favorite flower is the Gerber Daisy. It is bright and beautiful and big! I like any shade of Gerber daisy :)

7. Do you have a temper? -Lol I am a redhead so yes I have a temper. Its not a myth I guess hahaha.

8.What are your phobias? -I am terribly afraid of the strangest thing. I get made fun of for it but oh well I will tell you anyway...I am scared to death of cows. I dont really know why. I was never attacked by a cow when I was little or anything. I dont really know if this next one is a phobia but I hate feet. I think they are gross and I refuse to touch anyone's feet.

9. What is your favorite movie? Another one where i dont think I have just one...I love Moulin Rouge and Phantom of the Opera. Those are probably my top two. I also love Ghost!

10. What is your favorite band? Im really into Breaking Benjamin right now. My favorite band has always been Def Leppard but I am just really loving Breaking Benjamin.

11. What can you not leave the house without? -Haha right now its chapstick. Im all about chapstick right now. Its an ongoing joke with my boyfriend and I because I am constanly losing my chapstick.

12. What is your favorite food? -Enchiladas. Doesnt matter what kind.

13. Where do you work? -I work at Walmart. I live in a small town and there arent a lot of job opportunities so I am working at walmart til I can go to cosmotology school. I work in softlines and somedays I run the fitting room.

14. How tall are you? -I am 5'3. Not very tall but not too awfully short. I am the shortest person among my friends and only my youngest sister who is 13 is shorter than me but only by a half inch. I imagine by the end of the year she will pass me up.

15. How many siblings do you have? I have 3 little sisters. They are 17, 14, and 13.

16. What is your favorite soda? I really like Dr. Pepper but Big Red is a close second.

17. Do you collect anything? I collect Carousels. I collected them when I was younger but I havent gotten a new one in years.

18. What is the dumbest thing you ever did? -I totaled my dad's riding lawnmower. Yes i wrecked a lawnmower. I was going between two trees and a low branch hit me in the head and i jerked and hit the tree. It was dumb but i was 10 years old lol.

19. Favorite childhood toy? -Nap. He is a white stuffed dog and I still have him. I slept with him every night until I got Harley. Harley has a tendancy to be rude with my stuff so I felt it was safer to set him up high.

20. Your favorite hobby? I like to do makeup if that counts. Im not a professional but I absolutely love trying new products and new looks.

Motivation?

Somedays when I climb out of bed I dont even feel like putting on chapstick let alone do my whole routine! When I go out later I always feel frumpy and blah. Sometimes all i can muster the energy for is some foundation and chapstick but even that little attention I give myself to do that makes me feel better. From what I have come to understand a lot of ladies out there have lost the motivation to do even that. I hear the age old "I dont need makeup to feel pretty" but honestly i think its an excuse. I think it might not just be about the makeup...its about taking a moment to really appreciate your face and do something self absorbed. Quite frankly I dont always care if my guy likes my eyeshadow or my lip gloss. In fact he hates lipgloss! Its all about what "I" like and feel pretty wearing. I like that part of the morning where I turn up my music and "doll up." I can wear a look that suits my mood or compliments my clothes. Dont you enjoy that feeling when someone compliments your eyeshadow handiwork or that new shade of lipstick? I know a compliment like that make my whole day brighter. I think that women should make the effort to do something uniquely thier's. So at least put on a coat of mascara for your own sake!

My little rave

I am going to rave about a few products for a minute. I am in no way affiliated with these companies I am just giving my opinion. I am absolutely in love with Too Faced Shadow Insurance!!! I just discovered it in december because I won a tube from BeautySplurge on youtube. Its fantastic! I have no idea how I ever survived without it. I had never heard of eye primer and then all of a sudden my makeup world was transformed and I went from dabbler to full-blown obsessed. My colors pop and I can get through the night without the dreaded smears or faded colors. My colors stay where I put them and I get asked all the time what shadows i use because my colors are so pigmented. Which brings me to my next product : Profusion's 120 Ultimate Blockbuster palette. Its super affordable and when used with my primer the colors are superb. I get complimented all the time. I like shimmer and glitter a lot and it is full of shimmers. The blues in this palette are my favorite. I love the variety of colors! The entire palette is sheer shimmer and it makes me happy :) My next fav is Maybelline's The Falsies mascara. I dont have long lovely lashes but this lengthens really well. Ive tried all kinds that promise to lengthen lashes and this one is the only one ive used that delivers. I use the brownish black because the black is a little more dramatic than I like for day to day. Well thats the end of my rave for a minute cuz I am sleepy and going to bed! Nighty night!!!

Intro Blog

Hey! I am the glitterwitch :) This blog will probably be pretty random. I will probably state my opinion about anything from makeup to politics. I have a youtube account that I have just started playing with and I am on facebook 20 times a day. I work at Walmart in the apparel department. Its not a great job but I am thankful for it in this economy. I am hoping to get to a point where I can go to cosmotology school. I want to learn how to professionally style hair and apply makeup. I think I will go the little extra and learn nails as well. I am always open to suggestions and advice. Im pretty much a newbie and I am hoping to get as good as my fav gurus. A few are Petrilude and MissChievous and Chloe Chau. I have lots more and I will probably do a blog about it haha. On an average day off I try to do a contest look and i can usually be found lounging in a hoodie. I dont get dressed up to go to the store but I really love playing around with makeup. Im not one of those girls that has to have her false lashes and perfected complection to go out into the world. I like to think I am down to earth and genuine. I love spending time with my boyfriend and my best friends. I listen to music a lot and I have a slight addiction to the internet. I have a cute little Chihuahua named Harley Taco.
